Poetry Moment: Narrative Poems

poetryThree types of poems exist — narrative poems, lyric poems and imagist poems. Imagist poems are layered with images. Ezra Pound defined these thee poem types as logopoeia, melopoeia and phanopoeia. A narrative poem tells a story in a logical order, but some narrative poems do not tell a story — they throw out  images and bits of information about the story in starburst fashion.
